Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 20, 2026
About this policy
LeakFound provides business financial-report reviews through leakfound.com. This policy explains how information is handled when you visit our website, contact us, subscribe, upload reports, or use our review service. For privacy questions or requests, contact hello@leakfound.com.
Information we collect
We receive the information you provide, such as your name, business name, email address, messages, uploaded financial reports, and information needed to identify your subscription. Reports may contain business financial data and personal information included in those documents.
Our website and service providers may also collect technical information such as IP address, browser and device information, pages visited, referral information, cookie identifiers, and interactions with the website or advertisements.
Stripe processes payments and payment credentials. LeakFound receives subscription, transaction, and billing information needed to administer the service; full card details are entered into Stripe's payment interface rather than our report-upload form.
How we use information
We use information to respond to inquiries, match reports to your business, review financial information, prepare and deliver analysis, administer subscriptions and billing, provide support, prevent misuse, maintain records, and meet legal obligations.
We also use website and advertising measurement information to understand visits and signups and assess marketing performance.
Financial reports and AI-assisted review
LeakFound uses ChatGPT, provided by OpenAI, to assist with reviewing financial reports and preparing analysis. Information from the reports you provide, including report contents, may be submitted to and processed by OpenAI for that purpose. AI-generated results can contain errors and require review.
Before uploading, remove bank and payment-card account numbers, Social Security numbers, passwords, employee payroll details, customer personal information, and other sensitive information that is not necessary for a business financial review. Upload only information you are authorized to share.
Do not assume that using this service creates an attorney-client privilege or any other legally privileged relationship.
Service providers and other disclosures
We use service providers to operate the service, including Squarespace for the website and forms, Stripe for billing and the customer portal, Dropbox for report uploads and storage, Google for business email and advertising measurement, and OpenAI for AI-assisted analysis. These providers process information according to their applicable terms, privacy policies, and our account arrangements.
Information may also be disclosed when reasonably necessary to comply with law or valid legal process, protect rights and security, prevent fraud, or support a business transfer subject to applicable protections.
LeakFound does not sell uploaded financial reports or provide their contents to advertising services for ad targeting.
Cookies, local storage, and advertising measurement
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies through Squarespace and Google Ads to operate the site and measure advertising results. Google may receive technical and interaction information when you visit or complete a signup.
Our purchase-measurement implementation can send a checkout-session identifier, purchase value, and currency to Google Ads. It also uses browser storage to reduce duplicate conversion counting. Uploaded report contents are not part of that conversion event.
You can manage cookies through your browser settings and any cookie controls displayed on the website. Blocking cookies or scripts may affect site features and measurement. You can review Google's data practices at https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and manage Google advertising preferences at https://myadcenter.google.com/. Browser settings do not necessarily stop every type of data collection.
Retention and security
We retain information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain business and payment records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Retention varies by the type of information and the purpose for keeping it. Provider backups or legally required records may remain after an active copy is deleted.
We use reasonable safeguards for the information we handle. No online transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Please avoid sending sensitive reports as ordinary email attachments; use the designated upload route.
Your choices and requests
You can contact hello@leakfound.com to ask about access, correction, or deletion of information we hold, or to raise a privacy concern. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights, including rights relating to certain advertising uses or sharing. We will consider and respond to requests as required by applicable law and may need to verify your identity.
Canceling a subscription does not automatically delete reports or records. If you also want deletion, make that request separately. Requests may be limited where information must be retained for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, or dispute-resolution purposes.
You can unsubscribe from optional marketing messages through the instructions in those messages. Necessary service and billing messages may still be sent.
Location and intended audience
LeakFound is intended for business customers and adult business representatives. It is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us.
Service providers may process information in the United States and other countries where they operate.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy and will post the updated effective date here. Where required, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent before a material change in how information is used.
